busy weekend
Apr. 20th, 2009 12:11 amOn friday, Cyn and I went to Shank Hall to see the Adrian Belew Power Trio.
On saturday, I had to help my friend Paul move. I was hoping he wouldn't need me, but he only had two other guys to help, so I had to go. Wasn't a tough move, but I increased the manpower by almost a third. Fortunately, he didn't start early. I don't do early. It was warm and sunny, like a late spring day. Very nice.
I had planned on going out with my camera, but by the time I got back home the sun went away, and it cooled off. Cyn and I went down to the east side, and visited her sister, bagelgirl. Then we drove around the east side, and the near west side, looking for historical sites. Found four National Historic Landmarks, (couldn't find one, apparently not accessible to the public), and six registered historic places. That was kinda fun.

Had supper at Saz's. That's Milwaukee's famous rib place. Not as good as Jerry's (used to be), but still pretty good. I ate way too much, this weekend.
Today saw our friends' daughter's first birthday party. A quiet afternoon with a small group. And some cake and chocolate martinis.
Between the busyness and the rain, I didn't have time for any gardening.
And then Cyn stressed about getting ready for her trip. Business trip in Florida for the week.
