On saturday, the temperature got up to 50°. On monday it was up to 57°. Since saturday, it was only below freezing for a few hours on monday morning. Even though it hasn't snowed in over a month, it's been cold, so there was a lot of snow to melt. There's a retention pond nearby, and it's culvert was apparently clogged, so it filled up, and overflowed the road. The pavement has sunk where they put the culvert through, and it's about two or three inches low right now, and the water was running through that dip and still backed up to the middle of the road.

The pond was only a little high in the morning, and overflowing the road in the evening. They put up a "high water" sign at 11:15 PM (I have no idea why they were working at that hour). This morning the water was up to the edge of the road, and six hours later, I see no flooding - the snowbanks are exposed again.
