I saw the debates last night. Clinton sounded better than Obama did. Better rehearsed. Of course, that has its downside too. The moderators spent some time attacking the two, which was annoying. This was under the pretense of "how can you stand up to these attacks in the campaign?" Obama spent much of the night on the defensive, because of Clinton's well-rehearsed lines, and she seemed to get more favorably phrased questions. Clinton would get broad questions, like "what's your position on the economy," while Obama would get more specific questions like, "where do you stand on D.C.'s gun ban?" She could give her general stump speech, while he'd have to struggle for a specific answer.
