winter weather

It's been snowing off and on all day. It was sunny for most of the morning, but has now clouded over. The wind is howling. Gusts near 50, early this morning. The forecast had been for around three inches of snow tonight, but it looks like we're only getting blowing light snow. I had hoped we'd get enough to cover all the ugly gray snow, but it's blowing so much, I'm not sure it will stick everywhere.

When I was out shooting, last wednesday, I had to hike down some railroad tracks to reach the creek. After I was finished there, I decided to walk down the tracks a little ways, since it looked like there was a caboose parked on a siding. I wasn't sure if that's what it was, or why it was there. About fifty feet down the track, I heard a horn.
