He wants $46 billion.

"Parts of this war are complicated, but one part is not, and that is America should do what it takes to support our troops and protect our people."

So remember, a vote against the money, is a vote against our troops.

On the other hand, Bush's vote against $20 million for children's health care is good financial sense.

Oh, and I thought this part was cute: "I recognize their position and they should make their views heard. But they ought to make sure our troops have what it takes to succeed. Our men and women on the front lines should not be caught the middle of partisan disagreements in Washington, D.C." Apparently Bush thinks his opponents in congress are withdrawing their support for the war, purely on political grounds. Like, maybe they're opposed to the war just because it's George W. Bush's war and they want to get back at him. Wrong. They're opposed to the war because they think it's a bad idea. They don't hate the war because they hate the president. They hate the president because they hate the war.
