lost stuff
Jul. 15th, 2007 12:14 pmMy shoes are very dirty. They're in good shape, so I didn't want to just pitch them, so I stopped at the shoe store and picked up some cleaner. Then lost it. We looked everywhere for that stuff. Everywhere.
I didn't remember bringing it into the house, though. We searched the car and the garage. Still nothing. Then Cyn mentioned something about hearing something rolling around in the back of the car when she went to work. Then I figured it out. The night that I got the stuff, we also got groceries. I was in a hurry to get out and help Cyn unload the groceries, but I didn't want to leave the shoe cleaner in the car, so as I got out of the car, I set it on top of the car. I think. If that's true, then it fell off the car somewhere between home and work, or maybe on the return trip.
What's really annoying is that if I'd tried to clean my shoes that night, instead of putting it off (I'd been wanting the stuff for weeks), I would have looked for it and discovered it on top of the car.
