though I've lived in Wisconsin all my life, this answer doesn't surprise me, since my parents were both from eastern Indiana.

Midland. The Midland (please don't confuse with "Midwest") itself is the neutral zone between the North and South. But just because you have a Midland accent doesn't mean you're from there. Since it is considered a neutral, default, "non-regional" accent you could easily be from someplace without its own accent, like Florida, or a big city in the South like Dallas, Houston, or Atlanta.

The temp seems to be going up. It was 65 to 70° all day. I went over to Joe's to play Shadowrun, and we were in his freezing cold basement. I came outside and it was nice and warm. I got home and it was a little cooler inside than out. I think it's still getting warmer.

I spent all afternoon outside cleaning up the gardens. I still haven't figured out what I'm going to do with them. I've got gift certificate money to spend at the garden centers, so I'd better figure it out.

I came up with a layout for my gallery pages on the website. It's not live yet, so don't bother to look.

I gained a pound or two this weekend. And never lost any from Easter weekend. I need to get a little bit of exercise. I was moving all day, outside, but nothing very strenuous.

Cyn and I cleaned the office last night. It's not done yet, but it's 100% better than it was. It was horrible.

We went out to eat last night. I used to like The Chancery a lot. It doesn't seem that great anymore. That was on the way back from an art exhibition at MIAD. It was all the graduating seniors showing their senior thesis projects. There was quite a variety of art - industrial design, graphic design, photography, painting, sculpture, conceptual, installation, whatever. Some of it was really good (most of the photography impressed me) and some of it was WTF weird. We took Mike along. He said he got some ideas for his graphic design work (he's now finishing up his junior year at a different school).

On friday night, my dad and stepmom came over. We showed them our Hawaii pictures, and caught up on things (not that there was a lot to catch up on).

My birthday present arrived. Cyn bought me a wine cooler. No, not that kind of wine cooler - the kind that you plug in and stock with up to eighteen bottles of wine, and has dual-zone temperature control. And even though birthday is almost a month away, we went out to buy a few bottles, because what's a wine cooler with no wine?
