vacation time!
Feb. 21st, 2007 03:38 pmMan, I haven't had a day at work like that in years. It was rough. I pretty much collapsed afterwords. Took a nap on the couch. Still felt like crap for the rest of the night, and today, I feel like I'm coming down with something. Nothing like potentially putting your health at risk (just before a vacation) by doing someone else's job for them. I worked late yesterday and monday, so I got to leave early today. Today, I was still rushing around to make up for the inadequacies of others, and trying to get all my loose ends tied up before leaving.
Hawaii is sounding mighty fine at this moment. I need to start packing. And see what else I need to buy. I think I need some new clothes. With the weight I've lost, some of my pants and all of my shorts are too big. Some of them were too big already. So we're off work tomorrow to take care of all the last-minutes stuff and pack. Then we're off on friday.
I ended up buying a video/mp3 player to solve my photo storage problem. I spent saturday shopping online for it, and last evening setting it up. It's pretty sweet. It's 60 gig, so I've got most of the music from my computer on it, and I still have over 50 left. That's room for a lot of pictures. And it's got a four-inch video screen, so we can load pictures in it to carry around to show people. Like when we want to show people our pics of this Hawaii trip.
