justification for discrimination?
Jun. 5th, 2006 12:57 pmRegarding the gay marriage amendment, president Bush said, "Ages of experience have taught us that the commitment of a husband and wife to love and to serve one another promotes the welfare of children and the stability of society."
Do I even need to point out the stupidity of this statement? Lets say that the sentence is, in itself, correct. What does this have to do with homosexual couples? Allowing homosexuals to marry will weaken heterosexual marriages? (Are they afraid of something?) Does Bush think there is only a limited number of marriage licenses, and teh gays would take them all? WTF?
