We spent most of the week cleaning. Early in the week, we did a lot of organization in the office. It was badly needed. We made a great improvement, but it still needs work. Then I spent a couple of evenings cleaning up the basement. Friday night and this morning, Cyn was cleaning like a madwoman. This was all because her cousin and his wife were coming to visit.

We went out to lunch with them, and then came back here to sit on the patio for a little while. Then a quick tour of the house, and they were off to Door County for the week.

So now we've got no plans for the rest fo the week. I need to do a bit of garden work, but nothing too serious. The next big task is to figure out what's for supper.

It's a beautiful day. Hot if you're in teh sun, but the breeze is great. I've got the windows open wide. The temp is hovering at 80° here in the house, but the breeze is good. I imagine Cyn would prefere the air on, but I can't pass up air like this. I'd take eighty and breezy over a conditioned 78, any day. I've got the window behind my computer open.

I've been really tired lately. I wasn't hungry before bedtime last night, but I woke up around six this morning, and was so hungry I couldn't get back to sleep. So I had a bowl of cereal. When the sugar wore off, I went back to bed for an hour or two. I was a bit hungry all day, even though I ate a lot.

We sat out on the patio, and had bacon and blueberry pancakes for supper. It was really nice, but we decided we'd better go for a walk to burn off those calories. We went over to Lion's Den Gorge. According to the map, it looked like there was a trail that went around the gorge on the north, and then down some steps to the beach, so we looked for that. We couldn't find it, so we slid down the dirt to the beach. From there, we found the steps and went up them to backtrack and find the trail from the other side. We went up the steps, skirted around a part that was washing off the bluff, and ended up in someone's yard. So we had to go back down the steps, cross the stream and find a way back up the hillside to the trail. The hillside was so steep we needed our hands a lot, to get up it. There were tracks in the dirt of deer that had slid down it. (No, it wasn't the bluff facing the lake - you don't go on those.) Then there were the bugs. Swarms of them that want to land all over your head. Very annoying, so we tried to keep moving. Fortunately, they weren't as bad in the woods. It ended up being a strenuous hour.

I guess Heather is coming over tomorrow to cook dinner for us, and her "in-laws" are probably coming too.
