the weekend so far
Jul. 5th, 2005 12:02 amWhat'd we do friday night? Oh yeah - went to Lion's Den Gorge, and then Heather came over.
Saturday, we visited some friends' new house, then took them (and my mom) to the fireworks.
Sunday, we went out to Waukesha for a friend's baby's baptismal picnic. Was nice. Weather was perfect. Were tired afterwards. Spent some time trying to organize the office (go through piles of papers) after losing a necessary reciept.
Today, we drove nearly three hours to visit some family in Camp Douglas, Wisconsin. I'm not very familiar with my dad's dad's side of the family, so I was able to get invited along for a visit. They're likable people. We drove by the (former) family homesteads, and walked around the cemetery where many of them are buried - or will be. It was kind of odd seeing stones with the names of people that we were going to visit. We also went over to another family farm, and wandered around a bit.
It was raining when we got home.

I'm taking Wednesday off work to take my niece and nephew to the zoo. So I took tomorrow off too.
