the duplex
Apr. 23rd, 2005 11:09 pmI'm not sure what I've told before, so I'll go way back. A neighbor who owns several rental properties, was interested in my place. He and his brother looked at it but decided it needed more work done than they were willing to do right now. So I talked to my realtor, and we're going to list it. She's coming by monday to take some measurements, and drop off some paperwork.
Today, the son of my attorney stopped by. I gave him a tour and he's interested. He's calling his bank about financing, and will get back to me on monday or tuesday and let me know if he's going to pursue it. If he is, I'll have to call off my realtor. I feel kinda bad about that. She's spent a little time on it already.
The place that is supposed to be getting me my kitchen cabinets is not doing so. And I'm suddenly running out of time.
I got one last window. I mismeasured, and it's about 3/4" of an inch too low. I'm not sure how I'm going to deal with that. I'm pretty sure there's half an inch to play with anyway. Not real thrilled about it, though. I would like to install it tomorrow, but the winds have been fierce.
Got three of my window frames (interior molding). My friend started making the other three today.
The back screen/storm door is all bent out of shape and doesn't open or close well. I discovered I can't get a replacement for it because it's so short. Not from Home Depot, anyway. It's about 70" tall. I was hoping to be able to cut a stock door down to size, but I've got to take too much off. Then I was worried that I'd have to buy an expensive custom one. But I can't even get a custom one in that size. I'm not sure what's up with that.
Got a hole in a closet wall patched. That's just about all I got done today. Cyn worked her ass off again. And probably rested more than I did, too.
