gonna sell the duplex
Mar. 17th, 2005 11:11 pmA neighbor had approached me about acquiring the property. At the time, I was only just starting to decide I might want to get rid of it. Since then, I've decided I definitely want to sell it.
I was pretty sure he would still want it, but I needed to make sure he wanted it in whatever state it was in at the time I was ready to let it go. So he came by today to see it. My suspicions were correct in that he would take it however I wanted to sell it. (Cyn was disappointed in my decision to finish the remodeling.) I need to get an appraisal. We'll negotiate price from there. It's got quite a list of problems - not serious ones, like structural problems, just *difficult* problems - so I hope the price doesn't suffer too much.
The remodeling is going better. I feel like I'm closing in on the end. It's been really slow for the last few days, but it's still moving. My friend should have the kitchen cabinets ordered today. He said he'd help me with the window molding - if I were doing that myself, it would take me ten times as long. Those two things are the last big jobs to be done.
