a hundred and sixty freaking dollars?!!!
Mar. 9th, 2005 09:29 amMan, what is up with U2? So much for a band being conscious of its fans. Don't tell me the band is using the proceeds for third world debt relief, either. These tickets aren't close, either. This is an arena show, and the floor is general admission - fifty dollars. That's a good deal, since that's where the best sound is anyway, and you can get up close, if you're willing to push through the crowds. So these $160 seats are the lower deck and probably the lower part of the upper deck. The nosebleed seats and the ones around behind the stage are $95. I would expect service charges to exceed twenty percent.
These shows are selling out almost instantly, around the country, so we can't complain much.
