still busy
Jul. 13th, 2004 11:51 pmSaturday we had help at Cyn's place from Heather and Sebastian. They spent the afternoon painting. Very much appreciated.
Sunday we had help from them, their friends Aaron and Lauren, and from Michael. Heather painted again, and the rest moved furniture and tore up carpeting from three rooms. That was a lot of work. Since there were two of them working at it all afternoon, and two more for part of the day, I can't imagine how long it would have taken Cyn and I to do all that. Many many thanks to all. (Heather - make sure that those two get invited to our party!) As it was, I spent most of the day cleaning the work room downstairs. It seemed kind of putzy, but it had to be done, and I could stay out of the way of the rest of them.
Monday, I mowed the lawn. After that, we went to my mom's to discuss food for the big party, and she wanted to give me some of my baby clothes and blankets. Some that my grandma and my great aunt had made.
Tonight, Cyn and I went down to her place. Painted a little. After I got home, I went out to trim the bushes. I only did them on one side of the porch. It took about half an hour. Those bright streetlights serve some purpose, at least.
