the weekend
Mar. 15th, 2004 12:39 amFriday was the Bob Dylan concert. Good show. I've seen him five time (since '96). This was not one of my more favorite shows. The crowd was more interesting. "Summer Days" rocked. Highway 61 is one of my favorites.
Saturday was my niece's fifth birthday party. She's a shy girl, so the present opening routine was odd. She doesn't like being the center of attention. She was so solemn. She dutifully opened them and then went off to play. And we saw my sister's almost completed new house. Was nice.
Then we went to my place to (buy lumber and) build a wall. Got back to Cyn's too late to get anything done there.
Sunday, we did little projects around Cyn's. I got the phone wiring cleaned up and added a line. Not the most necessary thing, but I feel a whole lot better. Should have finished the molding in the bathroom, but I forgot to bring the proper tools along from my house.
The thing that bugs me the most about this whole two house thing, where we're working our asses off, is how unsettled things are. My tools are spread across two homes, and I don't have a decent place to work in either of them. I'm really looking forward to our new home.
