weekend

I was gone camping, this weekend. Took the boys to Devil's Lake. Three boys, one other leader. Was nice. Chilly, though.

I had more to say about it, but I'm very tired. Didn't get caught up on my friends page either.

I saw a red-tailed hawk a couple of times. Pretty close. It swooped across the trail, wings and tail feathers spread.

looting in Iraq

Military officials said that their priority regarding the looters was to protect essential services, such as power stations. After that came such facilities as hospitals. So why were the hospitals being looted and why were their troops surrounding the Ministry of Oil?

Work was busy. I left a little early since I wasn't really getting anything done by the end of the day, and the weather was nice. It was in the upper seventies so I went out to check out the garden. I had to resist the urge to clear out all the dead leaves and detritus from winter, since the weather reports predict cold. I think the plants are going to need a little protection.

When I got home I had to open the windows to warm up the house.

Scout meeting was fine.

After that I signed my tax returns, wrote out checks for bill and walked to the post office to mail them all. Was still warm.

Then I called my friend Bill. We talked for a while, and I told him I'd take Will out for dinner for his birthday on thursday. I missed his party on saturday.

I listened to Atom Heart Mother something like six times in the last two days. Except that I usually skipped "Alan's Psychedelic Breakfast."

Seemed like a good day. Why don't I feel good?
