Department of False Homeland Security
Feb. 19th, 2003 05:49 pm"Some experts had criticized the advice when it was first issued two weeks ago, saying plastic and tape wouldn’t protect someone from a chemical or biological attack. But the Department of Homeland Security has stuck to its position, citing a 1970 study done on chemical protective clothing materials."
Sure, plastic is an excellent barrier to chemicals, but what good will sheets of it taped over your windows do?
I think they're just trying to keep the level of fear down by giving the masses a sense of security. But it's a false sense of security. And it doesn't do anything for most of the poopulation. What about me? What about my sense of security? I guess I should have none, if the DoHS can't come up with anything better than that.
