snow

It's been an odd winter. It was very cold for a while early in the year, and then it warmed up a bit. We never got much snow. I heard last week that the total for the year was 20 inches. I didn't think it was that high, but I guess it could have been. Every time it snowed, the snow disappeared before it came again. It warmed up enough that the ice went out of the river, but that happened just as it got cold again. It's been below freezing for a week (now that it is March), and the ice is forming again. We were supposed to get a big storm this weekend. Three to twelve inches, depending on where you were. We barely got two. It is still snowing now, but I think it will be rain before too long. Everything will turn to slush, then it will get cold and freeze solid.
