Where is everybody? Even with a couple of people back from week long (or more) absences, my friends page is pretty short today.

pay melt

Our pay freeze ended on July first. I wonder why nobody knew that. I didn't do the math, but I'm fairly certain that my check didn't increase because of it. So what does it take to get it?

I had complained because the freeze was on a rather arbitrary group of people - those whose anniversary dates fell in the first quarter. Now they say that it affects everybody. Everybody will have their reviews/raises delayed by three months. That seems like a more fair way to handle it.

I think they pay freeze sucks because the money saved by it probably does not make up for the loss of morale, but if you're going to do it, do it fairly.

ladybug picnic

I have a ladybug on my desk. It's not one of those orangish bean beetles, or whatever they're called, that we have been plagued with during late summers. It's an actual ladybird beetle.

price of gas

BOC

Blue Oyster Cult is playing the Wauskesha County Fair on Thursday. Thursday is Senior Citizen Day. Now I know BOC has been around a while, but come on!
