my weekend
Apr. 24th, 2001 12:07 amOkay, it's Monday night, but this is the first chance I've had to sit down and relax, and write, since Saturday evening.
My weekend was great. Cyn's kids were gone, so we had free run of the place. We could come and go as we pleased, not having to worry about who else was there or what they expected to eat for supper (don't' get me wrong, I like her kids, but... you know).
I had planned on taking Friday off, but we had to make an unexpected trip to Chicago, early Thursday morning, to take her son his plane ticket - he had forgotten it. I ended up taking that day off too. I putzed around the house that afternoon, and went to her place in the evening.
Friday, we cleaned Cyn's garage. I didn't think it was extremely hard work, but she was very stressed. It was only several years of accumulation. I got the impression it had been cleaned once before (in eight years).
Saturday, we had a list of things to accomplish. We did them all in the afternoon, and didn't work very hard at it. That evening, we went to see Bugs Bunny On Broadway. The symphony orchestra played the scores right along with quite a few Warner Brothers cartoons. It was great. They showed some cartoons I hadn't seen since I was a kid. Definitely a LoL time.
On Sunday we went to see a friends' new baby's baptism. Then we left to go back to Chicago to pick up Cyn's kids at the airport.
A lazy, relaxed weekend, where we actually accomplished some things. And the weather was great.
