I'm getting old. I'm really tired today. And my feet hurt. I feel like I did a massive party yesterday, but it was the day before.
I think I've decided that 70 people is the max comfortable number. Any more than that, and I don't get to talk with everybody. Actually, at the number I don't get a chance to talk to everybody for as long as I'd like. Strange though, because at eight hours, assuming that I'll always be talking with at least two people at a time, that's 20 minutes per pair. There were only a handful people that I spent that much time with. Anyway, I always figure I'm doing well if I get at least five minutes of quality time with each person or couple.
My cousin Denny and his wife Melody came up from Indiana. Cyn's cousin Carla flew up from Texas for the afternoon. My dad's cousin Denver, came with a bunch of family. They live in our area, but we never see them, so that was nice. He brought his daughter Melody (from Champaign, IL), his son Matt with his wife and two daughters, and his son Dan and Dan's wife Lynne. I'd never met Dan & Lynne before (at least not since we were kids). Cyn's sisters and their husbands came. My mom and sister took care of the food. My dad and stepmom came. My gamer friends, my high school friends, my Scottishish friends, a coworker. A bunch of Cyn's friends. The neighbors. And of course the LiveJournalers - Donna & Manolo, Lynda & Mike, Cathi & Tom.
72 adults, 19 kids, and a few babies.
