It would make it easier on the SUPERdelegates if she did.. who now feel that they are going to have to take action to make a decision. It is funny how they like the power, but when it comes down to .. UP TO THEM.. they don't like to make the tough decision. I really think all the hoopala is because the party is tired of the split, and it doesn't look like it is going to be resolved.. if she stepped down it would be easier on them.

I think like the sit and wait guys, it at least gives the illusion that the people have a say in who will be nominated. It also gives people a chance to see how their nominees act under pressure.
