Wal-Mart hair

I haven't seen hair that high in... I don't know how long.

Does anyone know why stores require you to fork over ID, when returning something without a reciept? It doesn't make sense. If they think you're ripping them off by returning something that was bought elsewhere, why isn't the store's price tag enough? If they want to keep tabs on you to make sure you'renot returning too many things, why don't they ask for ID when you have a reciept? Of course, I probably wouldn't be half as pissed off about it, if I had remembered my ID. Wasted half an hour driving back and forth.

Well...

My husband, my daughter, and my son-in-law all work at Wal*Mart. It is not true that Wal*Mart will take back anyone's stuff. I don't know who told you that.

I don't know about you but my driver's license is in my wallet. Even if I were not driving I would have it. My husband's driver's license is also in his wallet. If we were going to get money back on an item we would undoubtedly have our wallets along. I did think that perhaps Kevin was not driving but he did not say that so that caused that reaction.

"I don't know who told you that."

You certainly wouldn't, it was a statement made irl to me .. it's probably just an urban myth. That's why I said, "I can't confirm that" and said "I heard" rather than "I know".

I do have my license in my wallet but if my husband is taking me out for a quick errand, I do not always take my purse. In fact, I hate my big clunky purse and often leave it in the car covered up.

I forget my wallet a lot. I even forgot it the next time I went out today, after I posted about this.

don't you feel lopsided w/out it? :p i think ken does. i would HAAAAAAATE to have to carry something like that around. i hate a purse.. much less something bound to my person like wallets are.

I carry as little as possible. This means I keep my cash wrapped around my license, a credit card and my insurance card. Very thin in my pocket.

But for Christmas, I got a wallet, so I'm going to try using it (mainly because my credit cards wear out in my pocket). It's a lot bigger than I'm used to, but it's still new so haven't gotten used to it yet, and I didn't notice.

Looking back... he did say he was driving.

I went out of the house three times today, and had my license along once.

At least you don't have to have it tattooed on some part of your body. ;-)

Actually, I think any store will take anything back, unless they can prove you didn't buy it there. If it's an item they stock and it doesn't have another store's tag on it, I can't imagine why they wouldn't take it (unless they have a "no reciept, no refund" policy). That's probably why the rumor goes around - because someone got away with it.
