pics from the plane

Obviously, these were taken from the plane, on our trip to California. This is Utah and Arizona. Due to atmospheric haze, I had to do quite a bit of processing to these photos, and the colors are exaggerated a little bit - especially in pic #4.

That's the Glen Canyon Dam on Lake Powell.


The Colorado River is just off the north edge of this picture. This is just west of the Grand Canyon Proper.

I assume you flew out of Chicago? Did you stop in LA, or was it a direct flight? I'd guess we would have seen the same thing you did, if we had been sitting on the opposite side of the plane.

Those pics of monument valley remind me of some painter's work, that I can't quite put my finger on.

Yes, we flew out of O'Hare and stopped over in LA.
We had a beautifully clear day and the views were all spectacular.
We were all on the left side of the plane.
The pilot was nice enough to point out what it was that we were seeing. :-)
