grandma

My grandma is in the hospital again. She passed out again. I don't know how long it was before they found her. They couldn't figure out what was wrong, so they were going to be releasing her (after a few days). Then she passed out again. Now they've determined she's got congestive heart failure. Which means it's only a matter of time...

She'll be moving to a nursing home soon.

they can't do anything for congestive heart failure?

Aw, that's sad. How old is she again?

At least at the nursing home she'll probably be monitored and on meds and will be less likely to hurt herself if she passes out, right?

I'm sorry your grandma is so sick. I hope she feels better soon.

oh man- i'm sorry-
my mom called me at work today
to tell me MY grandma's in the hospital!
your news is not as good as mine- i called gma tonight
and she's sounding pretty good~ flu and a touch of pneumonia
is a far cry from congestive heart failure
even though she's 96 years old~

i wonder how old your grandma is-
does she live alone?

I'm so sorry! I immediately think of the pictures you have shown here and the stories. She can tell you a story about a chair, Cindy said, and then told us what it was. She sounds like a wonderful person.

Actually, I'm not very familiar with it. But I don't think so.

Um, 87?

She'll probably spend a lot of her time in bed. Yeah, she had only mimimal monitoring at her apartment.

Thanks. She was in bad shape for a while. I guess she's again able to feed herself.

My grandma had pneumonia too.

I think she's 87. or maybe 88? I don't know. (Cyn probably does.)

She lived alone in an apartment. Every morning and evening at 9:00, she called or was called by her neighbor. That's how they found her. She could have been unconscious for as much as twelve hours.

I probably will. Cyn and I were there at Thanksgiving.

I hope the move gives her and her family some peace of mind.
