July 4

Purple coneflowers, bee balm and daylilies are in full bloom. The hummingbirds are loving the bee balm, and also occasionally drink from the penstemon and coral bells. The last two yellow lilies shriveled today.

Rodents have been very active in digging in the potted plants - pepper, tomatoes, jade and monster.

The first Easter lily opened up today. Little hostas are budded. Hen&chicks are still blooming pink. Yellow lilies on the SE are blooming. Dicentra is still going, as is the goatsbeard.

I cut all the seed pod branches off the false indigo.

That sounds so lovely!

Except the rodents, of course. :)

Heh. I meant to post this to my gardening journal, [livejournal.com profile] freekeesgarden. That's where I log all the activity, in case you were wondering my this wasn't always in full sentences. Actually, I see it is in more sentences than usual. :-)

But thanks! I'll get photos up one of these days.

I'm jealous of your coneflowers & bee balm - we've only got plants coming up with no buds on the things I've grown from seed. They look healthy otherwise. Next year I guess (or maybe later in the summer).

The bee balm spreads out over time. I need to push it back. I can send you some if you want.

Feel free to watch [livejournal.com profile] freekeesgarden, and let me know if there's something you'd like. If I can split it or collect seeds, I can give you some.
