it's Tuesday
Saturday I was feeling fine, with painkillers, so I went to the banquet. Sunday I was still feeling fine so I decided to phase out the painkillers. On monday I went from a pill every six hours to more like eight or ten. My last one was Monday night before bedtime. My condition hasn't changed. It makes me wonder if they were doing much at all.
My back was a bit tired by the end of the banquet. I had taken along my walking stick (cane) because it looks great with the tux, but I was actually using it.

There's still a bit of discomfort when I lean on the incision site, but nothing serious. And I'm still trying not to bend. I'm supposed to be walking for ten minutes three times a day. I get less than five minutes altogether.
They gave us some dressing for the incision site. They consisted of plastic sticky sheets and gauze bandages. This was helpful since I wasn't supposed to get it wet. When I discovered late friday that we were going to run out soon, I messaged the doctor to ask. Monday they replied that "as long as you are not having any drainage from you incision, it does not need to be covered." OK. Fine. Haven't had any drainage in days, as far as I know. So done with that. There are still Steri-strips attached, though. I wonder when they'll fall off.

I LOVE Cindy's shoes!
Interesting about the pain killers. I have always wonders how much of pain relief is mental only. It explains how placebo pain killers would work at times.
