things

Went to Indiana for the family reunion. Left on saturday morning, and returned on sunday night. Trip down was good. Reunion was good, but only because of a couple of people. I alway talk about not going, but I go because I feel obligated. Then I decide it is important to keep in touch with some of the people. And wonder if it's worth going to... Anyway, the trip back was really long.

Our scoutmaster from a couple of years ago, returned from Bahrain, and was in town on his way to Alaska, so we had a little get-together, last night. Was nice, but didn't get anything else accomplished.

Tonight, I finally got busy. Did a little yard work (as usual), and then cleaned up the pump room a bit.

Work isn't too bad. Last week we had a new product introduction meeting, and four of the six products were mine. That was cool. Got a couple others finishing up this week, and another that is coming along nicely. I hope I can keep busy, though. I hate running out of work.

It's been hot, and the air conditioner has been running. Not really happy about that. I like it hot. Cyn likes it at 78°, but when the cold air is blowing out of the vents, that's too chilly. Unfortunately, when it's above 85°, she doesn't feel well.

perhaps if you put on a pair of sweats and a sweatshirt, you'll sleep better. Personally, I like being cool at night when I'm trying to sleep.

I've been curious and can't find it posted anywhere else: (I hope it's okay to ask) what do you do for a living, Kevin? If I had to guess I'd say you're an engineer? Am I close?

i feel the same as cyn in the heat- it makes me physically ill...and cranky. heh. i try to hover the air around 78 but, in heat like we've been having, we have it closer to 75, which is really chilly for me at night in bed. can't have it all, i guess. when we got home from navy pier last night, i had no complaints! it felt wonderful to come home to a cooled house. mmm.

i'm glad you had a fairly good time at the reunion.
i've been to only a couple in my time and find that was quite enough!
especially the indiana side of the tribe. oof. *snort*
also, high school. our 10 year reunion was so terrible (in my opinion)
that it's not worth my time or effort to attend another one.
my grandma went to her high school reunion up until just a few years ago.
pretty amazing given that her class was a small-town group.
i don't remember how many people were in her class,
but there were much fewer than my 1000-member high school class.
finally, there are only two or three of them left so, no more reunions.

good to see you here~
