pretty good weekend
Saturday we made room in the garage for all the furniture and appliances from Cyn's old house. Then we went there to pack things up and get them ready for moving.
On sunday, we had the guys over and moved it all. I had four friends helping load the truck, so it wasn't too difficult. It took us three hours, but we were only working for about two of those (okay, Cyn and I were busy for most of the time, but the guys took more breaks). Unloading was even easier. The big stuff went in the garage, and the smaller stuff went into my upstairs apartment. Then Cyn and I went out for dinner and had some margaritas. I forgot the sundays are 2-for-1 at Senor Luna.
Today, I mowed the lawn. Set up my mom's new TV. Cyn and I started packing up this house. It's about a week and a half until the big move, so we figured we'd better get going. I'm feeling better already. We got a few boxes of stuff upstairs. Just a bit less clutter. And I got a lot of garbage out of the sunporch. I can picture Arlo Guthrie talking about this place - they had a sunporch, so they figured they didn't have to take out the garbage for a very long time. Also took the trash out from the garage. That all took a while.
Got a lot accomplished and feel pretty good about it. Sure was glad to have this three-day weekend.
