When this was taken, he was not much older than I am now.

My hair is plan brown, but I always thought he had a slight reddish tinge to his. I looked recently and it wasn't there. I thought maybe I had imagined it, but it does look a little reddish in this picture, so maybe the grey has pushed it out.
