yahoo

Does anyone know of a way I can have mail forwarded from my Yahoo account to another one (without having to pay money)?

If I knew what POP information was, how would I get it? And if I had that info, what would I do with it?

Basically, what I want to do is: I have another Yahoo address, that I never get any mail in. But if I did, I'd need to see it right away. But I seldom check, because I hate logging in every day, only to find nothing.

POP stands for Post Office Protocol; basically, it's what makes email work (more or less). If you go into your mail options in yahoo, it has a section for checking other mail through that account, and it will ask you for the POP server id and such like. Contact yahoo to get it.

I thought yahoo had stopped pop access for free accounts, but I just checked mine, and it seems that it's available provided I sign up to be spammed with "special offers, discounts, and promotions".

I have a yahoo.co.uk address - YMMV.

I have a co.uk address too ... not many people have it. ;)

What is ymmv?

.co.uk? Cheat! I happen to know you go for coffee with Ms F, so you're on another continent. 8~)

YMMV = your mileage may vary (i.e. it may be different for you)

But I want to check Yahoo through another account. Whenever I click on the Yahoo help link about forwarding, it tells me I should pay them money. I was hoping I missed something, and someone could help me out.
