pet pet peeve of the day

"I feel badly."

What the heck is that supposed to mean? "Badly" is an adverb. That means that you're performing the act of feeling, but you're doing it badly. In which case it becomes a personal problem which needs practice to overcome. And probably TMI.

What you should be saying is that you feel bad.

What the heck is that supposed to mean? When one feels badly, his or her sense of touch is faulty. ;)

I feel bad because I'm feeling badly.
Fingers feel cold and numb.

I'm annoyed by the phrase "often times".

Oh, my mistake: the word "times" is being used to differentiate from "often places" or "often things".

"I feel badly."

LOL.........i wouldn't be advertising that......

but then again.

if someone said, "I feel bad."......just how does anyone know what that person really means?.....because some people use the word "bad" to mean "good", unless it's really really bad......which is someplace on the opposite side of gnarly from kick-ass......
