busy again
Aug. 13th, 2024 10:40 pmThings had been kinda slow for a while, but this last week got busy again. I mowed on Monday, did some edging on Tuesday and ran the aerator around on Thursday. Went out to eat with some friends on Wednesday, and had them over to the house afterward.
Friday I went to Chicago. My intention was to stop at an art museum on the way down, see the Art Institute and walk around with my camera for a couple of hours, then visit a friend for dinner. It did not go as planned. I was an hour away from home when I realized I hadn't brought my wallet. So I had to spend an extra two hours in the car for a two hour trip. And then I got into the city so late I hit rush hour (with construction), so I had to scrap my whole plan of going downtown. When I saw Diversey Street I decided to get off the freeway and just walk around there. I spent just over an hour with my camera and also at stopped at my favorite whisky bar. And then I drove back up and picked up my friend. Spent the rest of the evening with her. Now I have to go back to see the Georgia O'Keeffe exhibition and downtown.
Saturday was D&D. Sunday was our CoPA picnic. Tuesday is a CoPA informal, small group meeting. Wednesday I will visit my dad.
But beyond that, things are a little hectic. I'm juggling a few things. I have several daytime meetings this week. I'm trying to get some things set up for CoPA. There are some things I'm not getting done for CoPA. I have early meetings at work several days this week. I was supposed to do some painting on the shed. I haven't looked at my Substack in a week.
