Friday and Saturday

Our CoPA gallery show was good. It was my first speech as president, and I was a little nervous. Mainly because it was with an art center, and it's a good organization with a very professional presentation. They had hors d'oeuvres and a bar, and live music. So I couldn't afford to too casual. I sent my speech to my VP, and she prettied up a bit. And of course, it went well. Everyone said it was good, but even if they were just trying to make me feel better, I felt OK with it.

Today I did a bit of yard work in the morning, and then we went to my Dad's for his 80th birthday party. They had invited all the family - kids, grandkids and great grandkids. There were a lot of kids (between the ages of 3 and 6) running around, and three pregnant women. How are these kids having kids? It's been so long since I've seen any of them. But the weather was perfect, and we sat out on the deck and had some food and drink.
