the good old days

I went through a lot of my journal entries from 2001. A few things struck me.

I posted multiple times per day. Now it's only a couple of times a week.
I was much funnier and a better writer.
I struggled a lot, emotionally that year.
I was apparently a romantic guy. I wasn't aware of this.

I have to agree with you. On my very first ever (and last) FB post I tried to do a LJ like thought. FB cut me off half way through. I never went back.

The only reason I'm there is because Julia maintains a page at FB for pictures of Maia. I do keep up with a few people who have defected from LJ but rarely say much myself. It's just not my style for the most part.
One thing Fb is useful for is what I call "throwing pictues at" when I travel. Straight from the phone to FB. Otherwise I prefer to do full picture posts here after we get back from wherever with my real photos taken with a real camera.

I am so old-fashioned.

Old fashioned fashion changes so fast these days!
