the neighbors

Every winter the neighbors went to Arizona. This year, just before that time, he died "after a car accident" according to the obituary. In late October, the house was closed up, and I assumed she went to Arizona, like always. But now, she seems to be back. And the wrecked mini van is sitting next to the garage.

Edit: Later, we found out that she had injured her ankle, and had been in rehab for a while. It wasn't until later that she would be going to Arizona.

Do you know her well enough to ask her how she's doing?
It might be a good thing for her if somebody stopped by.

I never felt comfortable knocking on their door, but I could go over if I saw her out. I usually only spoke with them once or twice a year.
