mom and food

My mom likes to bake and make food for people. She suggested that she could make all kinds of things for our party. We talked her down to just baked beans, lemon bars, fudge bars and bok choy salad. Yesterday, she said she was also going to bring deviled eggs. Today she called to ask if we wanted her to bring a trifle. And said she's bringing a cheese dip and crackers. And made four different bars - lemon, fudge, raspberry and maple/chocolate.

What did you say about the Trifle?

I told her it wasn't really necessary, but if she really wanted to, she could. I suppose having a lot of food left over gives people something to talk about.

*wow* sounds like you're going to have a well-stocked party!

I just checked, and we've got at least a 12-pack each of: Dr. Pepper, Coke, 7-up, orange, grape, and sour sodas. Also Miller Lite and Genuine Draft. And we didn't buy any of this stuff for the party! I like to keep stocked up on soda, and a friend donate a bunch of leftovers from his last party. We bought juice boxes and a couple cases of water. Now we're going to buy some bottled malt beverages. There will be way too much, but at least everyone can find what they're looking for. :-)
